We have been involved in the finance industry for over 30 years and have extensive experience in matters such as repossessions, collections, appraisals, inspections, and equipment remarketing for all types of collateral.

C&C Asset Management was founded by Guy Whiteman in Jacksonville, FL in 1999. Since then, we have provided our services to companies such as CNH Capital, CitiCapital, Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, and many others.

Machinery and Equipment Appraisals
C&C Asset Management provides complete valuation analysis of equipment used as collateral for a loan or lease. C&C can provide a “desktop” appraisal without seeing the equipment, which is based on certain assumptions regarding the equipment's condition, or a "field" appraisal where each piece of equipment is inspected on site and the valuation is based on the units current operating condition. We can complete an on-site appraisal quicker and cheaper than the larger firms by utilizing our network of heavy equipment mechanics to inspect the equipment anywhere in North America. Results of the inspection are transmitted to our SR. ASA Appraiser who determines the final values in conjunction with our sales staff. Our work meets or exceeds the standards of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).

C&C's valuation methodology includes:
  • detailed review of equipment, attachments, and accessories including, when available, a breakdown of “hard costs” versus “soft” or unrecoverable costs.
  • direct research including the background of the equipment manufacturer, current and projected market trends, and competitive brands of the equipment type.
  • valuation, including analysis of actual sale results of like or similar equipment.
  • when provided by the client, a review of all governing documentation with focus on terms and conditions covering usage by the customer, maintenance obligations, return provisions, and end-of-term options.
  • assessment of the intended usage and utilization of the equipment; and projected costs to de-install and remarket the equipment.

Heavy Equipment Repossession and Recovery Professionals
Our experience goes back to the early seventies knocking on doors to collect payments on past due loans for construction equipment, farm equipment and aircraft. Since that time we have successfully recovered aircraft, trucks, trailers, construction equipment, boats, forklifts, farm equipment, office equipment, machine tools, medical and dental equipment.

To date we have never been involved in a suit for wrongful repossession or for breaching the peace. Our agents are competent and know the laws of the state they operate in.

We can transport the assets to your storage facility or we can arrange storage where the asset was recovered.

We charge a flat rate per unit so you always know up front what you are going to pay for the recovery.

We have experience selling every asset type that we have recovered. Our commission rates are very competitive.
